Dr. Gladys Honein-AbouHaidar , BSN, MPH, PhD, is track coordinator of the community and public health, and co-director of the Refugee Health Program at the Global Health Institute, American University of Beirut. Her research focuses on improving the health of communities with a strong attention on the social determinants and their impact on health outcomes especially for under-privileged population. She works closely with multidisciplinary teams and community stakeholders to develop innovative research underpinned by the principles of equity, inclusiveness and participatory approach to improve equity and quality of services in the community.
