Xinjuan Wu, BSN, MSN, FAAN, has engaged in clinical nursing, nursing management and education for 40 years. She was Director of the Nursing Department of Peking Union Medical College Hospital for more than 20 years (1998-2020) Her accomplishments include the immediate response to the emerging of SARS patients (2003) and now patients with Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). As President of the Chinese Nursing Association, Xinjuan Wu is the representative of nearly five million nurses in China. As a core member of the Chinese government Health Policy Think Tank, Xinjuan Wu has led the development of national nursing policy and made unique contributions to the advancement of nursing across China by providing clinical leadership, policy changes, educational resources, and practice guidelines.
